Pupils from Anne-Frank-Gymnasium Rheinau visited RMA Kehl

At last, the pupils of Anne-Frank-Gymnasium Rheinau were able to get a taste of industry again.  On Monday, 28.03.22, the excursion to the RMA Kehl GmbH & Co. KG plant in Kehl. This excursion was part of the AFG’s cooperation project with RMA under the motto “From steel to ball valves”. The pupils from Anne-Frank-Gymnasium Rheinau were given an insight into production and applied process engineering.

Thanks to the active support in class from Mr. Fritsch (RMA) and the factory tour through the production halls of RMA Kehl, theory and practice were combined using clear examples.

In the spirit of promoting young talent, the students of the natural science and technology (NsT) class 10 were guided through all the production stands and were thus able to witness the production of the ball valves live. The students then had the opportunity to find out as much as possible about the company and its products as well as the prospects of a career in the region.

The cooperation with the RMA and the Anne-Frank-Gymnasium Rheinau has already proven itself through the joint job application training and is supplemented by the annually recurring project in class 10 NsT, in order to prepare the students well for life after school, characterized in particular by the choice of profession and professional life.

Both sides benefit from this collaboration, as RMA offers dual study programs in addition to numerous apprenticeships.
