Meeting at the world’s largest high-pressure test bench for hydrogen (H2-Loop)
On 10.04.2024, the meeting of the DVGW expert committee took place at RMA Mess- und Regeltechnik in Rheinau. This technical committee is made up of experts from the Physical and Technical Federal Institute Braunschweig, manufacturers of gas measuring devices and users from the gas supply sector. It deals with topics relating to the custody transfer measurement of hydrogen amounts and also brings together information from national and international standardization projects. This meeting dealt in particular with the measurement of gas volume and gas quality. In its contribution (by Klaus Schick), the RMA presented the technology of the world’s largest high-pressure test bench (H2 loop) for the calibration of gas meters with 100% hydrogen and then gave the visitors a tour of the impressive technical facility.
